Once determined, carefully create a pilot hole or holes using a 1/8" drill bit, ensuring the appropriate distance between each. To safeguard the cabinet's surface from potential chipping, consider applying painter's tape over the designated drilling area, removing it once the hole has been completed. To prevent potential damage, such as stripped screws or broken mounting posts, we highly recommend manual installation using a screwdriver rather than a power drill. If your cabinet or drawer face is thinner than standard, employing lock washers between the wood and screw head on the inner cabinet surface can ensure secure hardware mounting.
